Alfredo Films is a film production company in Toronto, creating long and short content for broadcast, social media, and web platforms. They host a director showcase website that encapsulates their unique style.
The company’s web portfolio suffered from complex navigation and poor optimization, hindering user experience, stakeholder hierarchy, and business recognition. The goal was to enhance navigation and better showcase the company’s personality and culture.
Redesigned the website with a clearer hierarchy and simplified user flow, facilitating faster showcases and business inquiries. Organizing the site around individual directors with a user-friendly CMS allows for easy content updates and management.
Engagement sessions with stakeholders and analysis of web analytics revealed difficulties in attracting the studio’s business-oriented target audience. This led to the creation of a user persona to guide the design process:
The redesign focused on a new branding strategy, updating the logo and visual identity to a “video game look” while maintaining simplicity and usability. The process included iterative revisions over two weeks to finalize all necessary assets.
The redesign led to a 32% increase in business, a 47% rise in website traffic (Since 2023, V3 statistics are pending), and a stronger social media presence, indicating a successful rebrand, redesign and much improved user engagement.
The new Alfredo Films website more effectively showcases the company’s dynamic personality and facilitates easier user interaction, significantly improving business metrics and user satisfaction.
It is also very exciting to see how Alfredo Films' directors and editors are expanding the brand identity and art direction in their social medias and new added reels and replaced reels.
